Place of Origin

Brown Mountain is located in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and is one of the important production areas for Pu’er tea. The undulating mountains, misty clouds, humid climate, and fertile soil here provide unique conditions for the growth of tea trees. The Brown Mountain area has been the birthplace of Pu’er tea since ancient times, with abundant tea tree resources and a long history of tea culture. According to research, the oldest Pu erh tea tree is located in the Brown Mountain area, with a tree age of up to 1800 years, witnessing the changes and development of Pu erh tea in Brown Mountain.

Altitude: The altitude span of the Brown Mountain area is relatively large, ranging from approximately 1400 meters to 2000 meters. Tea trees grow in different environments at different altitudes, and the quality of tea leaves also has its own characteristics. This product uses tea leaves produced in areas with a medium altitude of 1500 meters. The tea leaves have a bright red color, a mellow taste, and a unique aged aroma.
Temperature: The Brown Mountain area belongs to a subtropical humid monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature between 18 ℃ and 21 ℃. This warm and humid climate provides a favorable environment for the growth of tea trees, allowing them to fully absorb nutrients and accumulate rich internal substances.
Soil: The soil in Brown Mountain is mainly composed of red yellow soil and pine soil, both of which are very beneficial for the growth of Pu’er tea. Red and yellow soil are rich in organic matter and mineral elements, and have a strong ability to retain water and nutrients, providing sufficient nutrients for tea trees.

Brewing Method

Warm cup: Preheat tea utensils with boiling water to remove odors, increase temperature, and promote the release of tea aroma.
Tea washing: Take an appropriate amount of tea according to personal taste and tea set size. It is generally recommended that the ratio of tea to water be 1:20 to 1:25. Quickly wash the tea leaves with a small amount of hot water and pour out the washed tea.
Tea brewing: Add water at around 85-95 ℃ and let it stand for about 6 seconds. （Pu erh tea can be brewed about 15 times. It is recommended to brew for 6 seconds from the first to the fifth time, 10 seconds from the sixth to the eighth time, and 15 seconds from the ninth to the fifteenth time.）
Water temperature control: Brew at an appropriate water temperature. The water temperature for raw tea is generally controlled at around 85 ℃, while the water temperature for ripe tea can be slightly higher at around 95 ℃.
