Gungang Village has the largest tea plantation area in Mangnuo Township, Shuangjiang County, including thousands of ancient tree resources, and is an important production area for rattan tea. This product uses tea from the Dahuangying area of Gungang Village, which has been hand picked and handmade, and has a special aroma and taste.

Gungang Village is located in Mangnuo Township, Shuangjiang Lahu, Wa, Bulang and Dai Autonomous County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province. It is a village with beautiful natural environment and pleasant climate. The moderate altitude, fertile soil, and abundant rainfall here provide superior natural conditions for the growth of tea trees.The climate of Gungang Village belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, with distinct four seasons, rain and heat in the same season, an average annual temperature of around 18 ℃, and abundant annual precipitation. Meanwhile, the soil here is rich in organic matter and trace elements, making it very suitable for the growth of tea trees.Gungang Village has a long history of tea culture, and the local villagers have been making a living from tea for generations. They have a deep affection and unique insights into the cultivation, picking, processing, and tasting of tea. They have created a unique tea variety with charm and cultural significance by using traditional craftsmanship and ingenious techniques to make Gungang rattan tea.

Brewing Method

  • Warm cup: Preheat tea utensils with boiling water to remove odors, increase temperature, and promote the release of tea aroma.
  • Tea washing: Take an appropriate amount of tea according to personal taste and tea set size. It is generally recommended that the ratio of tea to water be 1:20 to 1:25. Quickly wash the tea leaves with a small amount of hot water and pour out the washed tea.
  • Tea brewing: Add water at around 85-95 ℃ and let it stand for about 6 seconds. (Pu erh tea can be brewed about 15 times. It is recommended to brew for 6 seconds from the first to the fifth time, 10 seconds from the sixth to the eighth time, and 15 seconds from the ninth to the fifteenth time.)
  • Water temperature control: Brew at an appropriate water temperature. The water temperature for raw tea is generally controlled at around 85 ℃, while the water temperature for ripe tea can be slightly higher at around 95 ℃.
