Dahusai is an ancient village located in Mengku Town, Shuangjiang County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province. This village has a long history and is now inhabited by two ethnic groups: the Han and Lahu. The Lahu have been planting tea trees in Dahusai for at least 300 years, while the Han migrated in about 150 years ago. As a village where the Han and Lahu ethnic groups coexist, Dahusai’s tea culture has formed a unique style through long-term ethnic integration. The Lahu ethnic group has a long history of tea cultivation, and their traditional tea making techniques are combined with the fine craftsmanship of the Han ethnic group, allowing Dahua Saipu erh tea to maintain its traditional flavor while incorporating new elements and creativity.
Originating from an ancient village in Mengku Town, Shuangjiang County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province, Dahua Sai is a top performer in Pu’er tea. Da Hu Sai is located to the west of Mengku Town, backed by the Mengku Great Snow Mountain Natural Forest Reserve. With a high altitude and suitable climate, it provides unique conditions for the growth of tea trees. Da Hu Sai has preserved a large number of ancient tea gardens, some of which have a tree age of over 200 years, even up to a thousand years. These ancient tea trees have deep roots and lush leaves, and are rich in substances, making them important raw materials for producing high-quality Pu’er tea.
